Two weather features will bring areas of wet weather to parts of Asia on Saturday. A low pressure system spinning in the Sea of Okhotsk will continue pushing waves of energy over the Sea of Japan. This will push moisture onshore, kicking up scattered showers and high elevation snow showers over northern and eastern Japan. Tokyo will remain partly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s(F)/ lower teens(C). Seoul remains dry with sunny skies and highs near 30(F)/ -1(C).

Meanwhile in China, a trough of low pressure develops over southwestern China and pulls ample moisture onshore. This will bring scattered showers to the region, from Vietnam and Laos through Taiwan. Hong Kong will be cloudy with scattered showers and highs in the lower 60s(F)/ mid-teens(C), while Shanghai will see increasingly cloudy skies with rain showers developing in the evening and highs around 50(F)/ 10(C).

In the north, however, high pressure remains the dominant weather feature across northern and eastern China. Beijing remains sunny with highs in the mid-30s(F)/ near 1(C).

In Australia, the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Iggy will continue losing strength as it moves over south Western Australia. This will kick up a few lingering rain showers, but heavy downpours and strong storms are not likely. In the east, a trough of low pressure moves just offshore of northern Queensland and triggers widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms. Sydney will be sunny with highs in the lower 80s(F)/ upper 20s(C).
