Several disturbances will provide a few areas of active weather in Europe on Tuesday, while high pressure spans much for the continent. Lingering high pressure will limit precipitation development with many disturbances and will keep much of the continent under cold temperatures. In the west, a warm front will move through the British Isles with bringing increased cloud cover to Ireland and North Ireland. A cold front will quickly follow the warm front with increased cloud cover. To the south, a cold front will extend through Spain, kicking up rain showers along the northern coast of Spain and in the southern Bay of Biscay.

To the east, a strong low pressure system just south of Italy will advance eastward through Greece. Energy from the system combined with moisture from the Mediterranean will produce widely scattered rain showers in southern Italy and Greece, and snow showers with pockets of freezing rain in the rest of Italy and the eastern Adriatic countries.

Finally, a warm front extending through the eastern countries of the continent will produce snow showers in from parts of southeastern Germany through Austria and Hungary.
