Cold and windy weather will persist across most of Europe on Saturday, while rainy and snowy conditions continue across the south. A broad and strong ridge of high pressure hovers over Scandinavia and the European Mainland. This will pull cold air in from the the north, allowing for cold temperatures to spread into central Europe. Dry and sunny conditions will develop under this ridge of high pressure as it pushes moisture away to the north and south. Paris will see a few patchy clouds with highs in the lower 30s(F)/ near 0(C), while Munich will be overcast with highs in the mid-teens(F)/ -8(C). Strong winds in these areas will drop windchill values below zero(F)/ negative teens(C) in some places. Extreme low temperature advisories and high wind advisories remain in effect for most of Europe. Oslo and Stockholm will see scattered clouds with highs in the upper 20s(F)/ -3(C).

To the south, a low pressure system continues spinning in the Mediterranean Sea and pushes moisture into Italy and the countries surrounding the Adriatic Sea. Due to prevailing cool conditions, this will allow for periods of snow and freezing rain to develop, in addition to rain showers. Rome will see overnight snow showers, turning to rain showers during the day, with highs in the lower 40s(F)/ near 4(C), while Athens will see cloudy skies with rain showers and highs in the near 50(F)/ 10(C).

Meanwhile, in the northwest, high pressure builds into the British Isles, creating dry and sunny conditions. Cool temperatures will persist as it continues pulling cool air in from the north. London will be sunny with highs in the upper 30s(F)/ near 3(C).
