At the Valdez National Weather Service office the temperature fell to 8 degrees this morning. This breaks the old record of 9 degrees set in 1981... 1982 and 1993.
On Thursday November 19th the lowest minimum temperature was 5 degrees which tied the previous record set back in 1982. Also on this date the maximum temperature only reached 15 degrees which also tied the record low maximum set back in 1982.
On Wednesday November 18th the maximum temperature only reached 16 degrees which tied the previous record low maximum set back in 1974.
On Tuesday November 17th the maximum temperature only reached 20 degrees which tied the previous record low maximum set back in 2003 and 1985. Also on Tuesday the minimum temperature of 9 degrees tied the previous lowest minimum set back in 1985.
