Nowcast | as of 4:56 PM MDT on April 26, 2015

Through 700 PM MDT...scattered rain and higher elevation snow showers will continue over much of northwest and north central New Mexico. Steadier and more widespread precipitation will develop along and east of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains toward sunset. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out...especially near the Colorado state line. Snow accumulation levels will generally remain near or above 8500 feet with the highest peaks of the northern mountains expected to receive additional accumulations between one half and 1 or 2 inches through 700 PM. The precipitation will track slowly toward the west-northwest or counter clockwise around an area of low pressure centered over central New Mexico.
