* a portion of north and central nm... including the following

slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains... eastern San Miguel County...
Estancia valley... far northeast Highlands... Guadalupe County...
Harding County... Jemez Mountains... middle Rio Grande
Valley/Albuquerque Metro area... northeast Highlands... northern
Sangre de Cristos above 9500 feet/Red River... northwest

* a very moist and unstable atmosphere along with afternoon
heating has led to the development of numerous showers and
thunderstorms with heavy rainfall. This activity will move
slowly southward over the area and increase the threat for
flash flooding through this evening.

* Wildfire burn scar areas... steep terrain... and urban drainage
basins will be the most susceptible to flash flooding through
this evening. A few areas may pick up to 2 inches of rain...
with even higher amounts possible where storms repeatedly
impact the same area.

flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
