Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:16 PM EDT on July 07, 2015

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southern Litchfield County in northern Connecticut...

* until 615 PM EDT

* at 412 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers
and thunderstorms moving across southern Litchfield County.
Rainfall rates of up to 1 1/2 inches per hour have been detected.
Excessive runoff from the heavy rainfall will cause ponding of
water on roadways and some minor flooding of poor drainage and low
lying areas. Rapid rises of small creeks and streams can also be
expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
