Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 8:49 AM PDT on August 01, 2015

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 10 PM PDT this
evening for hot... dry... unstable conditions combined with
critically dry fuels for Oregon fire weather zones 602... 603...
604... 605... 606... 607... 608... and Washington fire weather zones
602... 604 and 660...

* affected zones... in Oregon... fire weather zones 602... 603...
604... 605... 606... 607 and 608. In Washington... fire weather
zones 602... 604 and 660.

* Affected areas... this includes the Gifford Pinchot National
Forest... Mt Hood National Forest west of the Cascade crest...
the Willamette National Forest... portions of the Siuslaw
National Forest... the Willamette Valley and adjacent
foothills... as well as the Clark County lowlands. Odf... blm...
and Washington dnr lands are included as well.

* Timing... through late this evening.

* Stability... mid and high level Haines 5 to 6 at times. Very
unstable conditions could promote column growth to 10 to 12
thousand feet msl or greater under intense burning conditions.

* Relative humidity... minimum humidity values 10 to 20 percent.
Humidity generally 35 percent or less late this evening.

* Temperatures... high temperatures generally 90 to 100 in The
Lowlands and mid to upper 80s near the Oregon Cascade passes and
higher elevations in the South Washington Cascades.

* Wind... gusty afternoon and evening wind this afternoon through
late this evening. Sustained north to northwest wind 8 to 14 mph
with gusts to 25 mph expected for exposed areas.

* Impacts... the combination of an increasingly hot... dry... and
unstable environment... gusty winds... and very dry fuels may
result in rapid growth of new or existing fires.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of the
above conditions can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
