... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 am Thursday to
midnight EST Thursday night...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 am Thursday to
midnight EST Thursday night.

* Areas affected: portions of central and eastern Virginia.

* Hazards: mix of sleet and snow... then snow late Thursday
morning through early evening.

* Accumulations: 3 to 5 inches... along with trace amounts of ice.

* Temperatures: in the mid 30s... dropping into the mid 20s.

* Winds: north 10 to 15 mph... gusts to 20 mph.

* Timing: rain will mix with sleet by early Thursday morning. A
transition to a snow/sleet mix is expected by late morning
Thursday... becoming all snow Thursday afternoon through early
evening.

* Impacts: roads will become snow covered by early afternoon
Thursday. Visibilities will drop to around a quarter-mile at
times Thursday afternoon and early evening... making travel
dangerous.
