Very heavy downpours will occur with these showers along with isolated cloud to surface lightning in thunderstorms. In addition...wind gusts up to 30 mph will be possible in the stronger storms. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will occur across portions of Victoria...Goliad...Refugio...Calhoun and Aransas counties producing flash flooding. Elsewhere...amounts up to 1/4 of an inch will be common.

The Flood Warning continues for the Aransas river near Skidmore. * Until Wednesday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 9:15 PM Tuesday the stage was 10.3 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 13.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage overnight and crest just above 13 feet early Wednesday morning.
* At 13.0 feet minor lowland flooding occurs which will could impact a few residences. Crops and pasture lands are threatened.

Water levels will remain above normal through high tide today. During high Tide Water levels along the barrier island will reach 2 to 2.25 feet msl... and across the bays between 1.5 and 2 feet msl. At these levels... water will reach the dunes of the barrier islands. Water will begin to flood some picnic areas on North Beach. Water crosses over Laguna shores drive in Flour Bluff... with the lowest sections becoming impassable.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
