Nowcast | as of 2:38 PM CST on February 28, 2015

Areas of light freezing drizzle and drizzle will continue moving across a large portion of north and central Texas through the rest of afternoon. At 230 PM...freezing temperatures were still occurring northwest of a line from Paris to Rockwall...Hillsboro and Killeen. Although roads are not collecting any more ice due to short wave radiation warming roadways...a light glaze may still collect on elevated surfaces through sunset. The freezing line will continue to move slowly northwest another row of counties or two this afternoon...but then slow or halt during the evening hours. This could allow for some residual moisture to refreeze on roadways this evening. Otherwise...it will remain cloudy with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph and wind chills in the mid 20s to around 30 in the freezing air.
