A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
* Impacts: dangerous driving conditions due to icy roads.
* Timing: occasional light freezing rain and sleet will continue
across areas from Sterling City... to Mertzon... and south into
Crockett County through the overnight hours.
* Accumulations: a mixture of freezing rain and sleet have
resulted in accumulations of up to one quarter inch so far this
evening. Additional light accumulations will be possible through
the rest of the night. Ice has already accumulated on many area
roadways... especially bridges and overpasses. Even a little ice
accumulation on roadways can be dangerous.
* Dangerous wind chill readings will also be possible... dropping
into the teens by Friday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while

... Sleet and freezing rain continue...
Sleet... mixed with freezing rain... will continue across most of
west central Texas this morning. The most likely locations for
additional accumulations of sleet and ice will be mainly east of an
Ozona... to Mertzon... to Sweetwater line.
Law enforcement officials have reported ice and sleet
accumulations between one tenth and one half inch across most area
roadways... especially on bridges and overpasses. Therefore... we
strongly discourage travel of any kind.
