Statement as of 7:10 PM EST on November 11, 2009 The Flood Warning extended for the Enoree river at Whitmire. * Until late Friday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 6 PM Wednesday the stage was 23.0 feet. * Flood stage is 25.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage after midnight tomorrow and crest around 26.5 feet tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by Friday November 13. * Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 26.5 feet on Apr 1 1977. 826 am EST Wed Nov 11 2009 The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a * Flood Warning for the Enoree river at Whitmire * from this afternoon to late Friday night... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 7 am Wednesday the stage was 21.6 feet. * Flood stage is 25.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage late this afternoon and crest around 26.7 feet tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Friday November 13. * This stage compares to a previous crest of 26.8 feet which occurred on Sep 30 2004.

Statement as of 9:24 PM EST on November 11, 2009 ... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST Thursday... A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST Thursday. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph... with gusts as high as 40 mph... will continue through tonight across the Piedmont and much of the foothills of the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia. These gusty winds... combined with saturated soil from the recent heavy rain... will likely cause a number of trees to become uprooted across the advisory area. Precautionary/preparedness actions... This Wind Advisory has been issued because gusty winds are expected to cause quite a few trees to fall due to saturated soil. This may result in scattered power outages. 07
