* periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected across the
Oklahoma and Texas panhandles tonight and Tuesday afternoon.
The rain will be heavy at times. Widespread total rainfall
amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be likely... with some locations
possibly receiving in excess of 4 inches by late Tuesday
afternoon.
* Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize
the dangers of floods and flash floods. If flash flooding is
observed... act quickly. Move up to escape flood waters. Do not
stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
