Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 9:59 AM EST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 am EST
Monday...

* snow accumulations... 3 to 4 inches of snowfall have already
occurred with additional amounts of 2 to 4 inches possible
through the afternoon. This will produce storm totals of 5 to
locally 8 inches.

* Timing... snow will continue into late afternoon. The snow is
expected to begin diminishing this evening.

* Period of most intense snow... quick moving heavy bursts of snow
will occur through the afternoon. Snowfall rates could approach
an inch per hour.

* Snow ending... gradually from west to east tonight.

* Impacts... snow will be the main threat during this event.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected due to reduced
visibility from the snow and snow accumulation. Light winds
will limit the potential for blowing and drifting.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is normally issued for a variety of
winter weather conditions including light snow... blowing snow...
sleet... freezing rain and wind chills. While the weather will be
significant... the word advisory implies that severe winter
weather is not anticipated. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio for
further details or updates.
