... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST Thursday
above 3500 feet...

* locations... the central and southern North Carolina mountains.

* Impacts... wind chill values colder than 5 degrees below zero
will make it dangerous to be outside across the high
elevations Thursday morning.

* Winds... northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Wind chill values... as low as 6 below due to temperatures 13 to
22... and winds northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
