* Timing and areas affected... rain will change to a mix of rain... sleet... and snow Saturday afternoon and evening across southwest Missouri mainly along and west of Highway 65. Precipitation will continue through Sunday.
* Snow and sleet accumulation... significant snow and sleet accumulations will be possible across southwest Missouri by the time the storm ends late Sunday. Sleet along with minor ice accumulations could reduce snowfall totals. Most of the accumulation of sleet and snow will begin Saturday evening.
Uncertainty remains in the exact precipitation type and amounts. Heavier snow will impact areas farther west near the Kansas Missouri border.
* Impacts... Road conditions may deteriorate by Saturday evening into Sunday morning as temperatures fall to near freezing.

* From Saturday morning through Monday morning
* heavy rainfall amounts of one and a half to three inches are expected this weekend as a storm system tracks across the region. Rainfall amounts will be lower across southeast Kansas and far southwest Missouri where significant snow accumulations are possible.
