Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 6:01 AM CST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon CST today...

A Winter Storm Warning for freezing drizzle and snow remains in
effect until noon CST today.

* Short term trends... freezing drizzle will continue this morning
on top of the 4 to 7 inches of snowfall that has already
occurred. Areas where the snow plows have cleared the snow will
likely be slick due to a thin glaze of ice from the freezing
drizzle. The freezing drizzle is expected to continue through
the morning.

* Timing and areas affected... portions of southwest and south
central Missouri through the morning hours... generally around
the Interstate 44 corridor east of Highway 65.

* Snow and sleet accumulations... little or no additional snow
accumulation is expected.

* Ice accumulations... freezing drizzle will cause a glaze of ice
to exposed surfaces through the morning.

* Impacts... Road conditions will remain hazardous through this
morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of freezing
drizzle and snow are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you. This kit should
include such items as tire chains... booster cables... a
flashlight... shovel... blankets... extra clothing and anything else
that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
