A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Saturday.

* Timing... periods of moderate... to occasional heavy snow expected
to develop during the overnight hours.

* Accumulations... additional snow accumulations of two to four
inches are possible overnight.

* Surface visibility will be reduced due to brisk northeast winds
causing blowing snow... mainly in open rural areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

... Old twenty four hour snowfall record demolished at the St cloud
Airport...

The daily snowfall amount at the St cloud Airport for Christmas eve
was a very healthy 4.8 inches. This easily retired the old record of
4.0 inches recorded in December of 1920.
