Positive tidal departures are expected to increase in magnitude as a strong coastal low pressure system strengthens near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Departures of 2.0 to 3.0 feet above normal high tide will be possible beginning with high tide Friday morning... and continuing through late Friday night. Minor coastal flooding is anticipated... but strong winds and anomalies higher than anticipated could result in moderate coastal flooding.
