Light rain will continue through 2pm across the Baltimore Washington metropolitan area...the northern Shenandoah Valley... and the Potomac Highlands. Elements of moderate rainfall can be expected within this activity...especially across the metropolitan corridor and near the Bay. Additional rainfall tallies of a tenth to a quarter inch can be expected...but amounts approaching a half inch will be possible. Brisk north wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph will combine with the rain and temperatures in the 40s to around 50 for an unseasonably raw and chilly day. Motorists should use caution as some roadways are closed and others have substantial ponding of water.
