Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:05 PM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon CST Sunday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing rain remains in
effect until noon CST Sunday for portions of southeast Missouri
and southern Illinois... generally north of a line from Poplar
Bluff to Marion Illinois.

* Timing: snow will spread eastward into the region this
evening. It will gradually change over to freezing rain
overnight into Sunday morning. Temperatures will climb above
freezing by noon Sunday.

* Accumulations: snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are
expected underneath less than a tenth of an inch of ice. The
higher snow amounts will be along and north of Interstate 64.

* Impacts: untreated roads will become slick and hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
