Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to move through the Gulf waters from Holiday to Sanibel along the West Coast...and westward beyond 60 nm over the Gulf. Movement was east at 40 mph onto the land areas...with the strongest storms located over east Polk County...Highlands...DeSoto...Sarasota...Charlotte and Lee counties. Expect moderate to heavy rain with gusty winds and occasional dangerous lightning with the stronger storms.
