Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 3:58 PM EDT on September 04, 2015

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
southwestern Orange County in east central Florida...
southwestern Lake County in east central Florida...

* until 600 PM EDT

* at 352 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to a line
of slow moving thunderstorms stretching from Orlando northwest to
Leesburg. Radar estimates indicate up to 2 inches of rain has
fallen in portions of the advisory area during the past hour. An
additional one to two inches of rain will be possible with these
storms before they weaken.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leesburg... Winter Garden and Winter Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes. It takes only a few
inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles away.
