Statement as of 9:00 am AKST on March 10, 2010 ... Snowfall totals from the March 9th snowstorm... A strong winter storm gripped much of the area Monday night and Tuesday. Snow began to fall in Anchorage early Tuesday afternoon and picked up in intensity late in the evening. Drifts as high as three feet were reported in Homer and were noted across the city of Anchorage as well to varying heights.
