High pressure will remain east of the waters today. Low pressure will move north of area Thursday evening followed by a cold front Thursday night. Large long period swells generated in the Gulf of Alaska will begin to enter the coastal waters this evening...and will likely continue to build through Friday.

S wind 5 to 15 kt northern portion and W 5 kt southern portion. Wind waves 2 ft or less...becoming 3 ft in the afternoon. Swell W 8 to 9 ft at 13 seconds.

S wind 10 to 15 kt...rising to 15 to 25 kt in the late morning and afternoon. Wind waves 4 to 5 ft... building to 6 to 8 ft in the afternoon. Swell W 14 to 15 ft at 16 seconds. Chance of rain.

SW wind 30 kt...becoming W 20 to 25 kt after midnight. Wind waves 6 to 7 ft. Swell W 15 to 17 ft. Rain.

NW wind 15 to 25 kt. Occasional gusts up to 35 kt in the morning. Wind waves 6 to 7 ft...subsiding to 4 ft in the afternoon. Swell NW 17 to 18 ft. Showers likely in the morning... then chance of rain in the afternoon.

W wind 10 to 20 kt. Wind waves 3 to 4 ft. Swell W 13 to 15 ft. Slight chance of showers in the evening...then chance of rain after midnight.
