Saturday
Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots. Gusts to 30 knots. Mostly cloudy with a chance of light snow showers. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
Saturday Night
Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots...diminishing to 5 to 10 knots overnight. Mostly cloudy early in the evening... then partly cloudy with a chance of light snow showers by late evening. Waves 4 to 6 feet...subsiding to 1 to 3 feet late. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
Sunday
West winds 5 to 10 knots...backing to the southwest in the afternoon...then becoming south 10 to 15 knots late. Partly cloudy. Waves 2 feet or less. Wave heights are for ice free areas. See Lake Huron Open Lakes forecast for days 3 through 5.

* expect heavy freezing spray to occur until 10 am EST Saturday.

* Wind and waves: during the Gale Warning... expect sustained
winds up to 35 knots from the northwest with gusts up to 45
knots. The largest expected significant waves will be 10 feet
with a potential maximum wave height of 14 feet.

* Timing: the maximum winds are expected around 8 PM EST Friday
with the largest waves expected around 11 PM EST Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heavy freezing spray warning means heavy freezing spray is
expected to rapidly accumulate on vessels. These conditions can
be extremely hazardous to navigation. It is recommended that
mariners not trained to operate in these conditions or vessels
not properly equipped to do so... remain in port or avoid the
Waring area.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
