Poor visibility in fog patches is expected between Cunene River and Orange River and moderate visibility in showers is expected east London and Maputo, clearing from the south. 2. Gale force winds are expected in places between Plettenberg Bay and east London, spreading to port St Johns in the evening while moderating in the west.

Cunene River to Walvis Bay: wind : S to se 10 to 20 in the extreme north, otherwise N to NW 05 to 10. Vis : poor in fog patches.

Walvis Bay to Orange River: wind : S to se 10 to 20 south of luderitz at first, otherwise N to NW 05 to 15. Vis : poor in fog patches. Sea state: 2.0 to 2.5m, S to SW swell in the South.

Orange river to cape agulhas: wind : S to se 15 to 25, reaching 30 Cape Point at first. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.5 to 3.5m, S to SW swell, becoming E swell south of Cape Point at the end of the period.

Cape Agulhas to east london: wind : E to NE 10 to 20, reaching 30 to 35 between Plettenberg Bay and east London, moderating in the west. Vis : good. Sea state: 3.0 to 3.5m, reaching 4.0m in the west at the end of the period, SW swell.

East London to Maputo: wind : E to se 10 to 15, becoming NE 15 to 25 in the south, spreading northwards and reaching 35 south of port St Johns in the evening. Vis : moderate in rain and showers, becoming good from the south. Sea state: 2.5 to 3.0m, reaching 3.5m, SW swell.

Mozambique channel: wind : S to se 10 to 20 reaching 25 in the south-east. Vis : moderate with showers in the west and the south. Sea state: 2.0 to 2.5m, SW swell
