Synopsis
Strong easterly flow will become northerly on Friday as an area of low pressure moves northeastward toward the northeastern Gulf. Northerly flow will decrease Saturday and become easterly late in the weekend into early next week as high pressure builds southwest across the eastern states into the northern Gulf.

Northeast winds 22 to 27 knots diminishing to 18 to 23 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then becoming north 22 to 27 knots late in the afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Showers likely and chance of thunderstorms through the day. Chance of showers in the afternoon.

North winds 18 to 23 knots diminishing to 17 to 20 knots after midnight. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Chance of rain through the night.

North winds 18 to 21 knots diminishing to 12 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 2 to 3 feet late in the afternoon.

* Winds: easterly increasing to around 20 knots with a few higher gusts.

* Seas: building to 3 to 5 feet out to 20 nm...and 5 to 8 feet well offshore.

* Waves: becoming rough over the nearshore bays and sounds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots... and/or seas 7 feet or higher are expected to produce hazardous conditions for small craft. Inexperienced boaters...especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
