Synopsis For Destin Fl To Pascagoula Ms Out 60 Nm Including
Mobile Bay-
Synopsis
Surface high pressure off the Carolina coast and Hurricane Ida moving northward through the southern Gulf will combine to create an increasing pressure gradient over the area. This will result in increasingly strong easterly flow...which will become even stronger as Ida approaches. Ida is expected to weaken and become extra tropical in northern Gulf as she moves to the northeast. As Ida moves off to the northeast a strong cold front will move across the area on Tuesday. High pressure will build in behind the front and remain in place through Thursday. Please refer to latest forecasts from the National Hurricane Center on Hurricane Ida.
