Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
Widespread rainfall...heavy at times and with embedded thunderstorms...will continue through this evening. A coastal low off the Lower Texas coast will deepen and move northeast through today and tonight...providing a moderate to strong offshore through Wednesday. High pressure will build into south Texas on Thursday with moderate offshore flow increasing by Friday as colder air moves into the region. Strong to very strong offshore flow will occur on Friday with gusts over gale force possible over the Gulf waters. The offshore flow will diminish over the waters by Saturday as a weak coastal trough develops.
