Synopsis For Baffin Bay To Rio Grande Out 60 Nm-
Synopsis
High pressure is firmly in control across the Lower Texas coast this evening. Light north winds will persist through the night as seas continue to slowly subside. As the center of high pressure slides to the east...winds will veer to east and then southeast and south fairly quickly over the next 24 to 36 hours. Favorable marine weather will be on tap through the weekend. A gradual increase in south winds will slowly build seas. Small Craft Advisory conditions may develop over the Gulf waters by Sunday as the pressure gradient tightens. A cold front will move through the Lower Texas coastal waters late Sunday or early Monday...followed by strong north winds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will accompany the front. Small Craft Advisory conditions are likely Monday after the front...and higher seas could persist into early Tuesday as the winds become more northeast.
