Synopsis
A high pressure ridge across south Texas and the western Gulf of Mexico will provide light north winds across the coastal waters today. The pressure gradient will increase across the coastal waters Friday into Friday night. Small craft advisories may be needed for the offshore waters Friday night. Moderate to strong southeast winds will prevail Saturday and Sunday before the gradient begins to relax ahead of a cold front late Sunday. Small craft advisories will likely be needed Monday as the winds shift to the north and increase with the cold front moving offshore the Lower Texas coast.
