Synopsis For Keys Coastal Waters From Ocean Reef To Dry Tortugas-
Synopsis
An area of low pressure over the northeast Gulf of Mexico will move northeastward to the mid Atlantic coast overnight and Monday. A cold front will stall over south central Florida Tuesday. This front will resume a southward movement Wednesday or Wednesday night...finally reaching the Florida Keys as early as Thursday afternoon. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream current...as of November twenty-second... 36 nm south of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 41 nm south of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 41 nm south of Sand Key light...off Key West. 23 nm south of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 20 nm south of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 1 nm southeast of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 1 nm southeast of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 15 nm east of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef. Wednesday
Southeast winds near 15 knots. Seas beyond the reef 3 to 5 feet. Seas inside the reef around 2 feet. Nearshore waters a moderate chop. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Thursday
South winds 10 to 15 knots...shifting to northwest and increasing to near 15 knots and gusty late. Seas beyond the reef 3 to 5 feet. Seas inside the reef around 2 feet. Nearshore waters a light to moderate chop. Scattered showers.
Friday
Northwest to north winds 15 to 20 knots and gusty. Seas beyond the reef 3 to 6 feet. Seas inside the reef 1 to 2 feet. Nearshore waters choppy to rough. Isolated showers.
