Synopsis For Keys Coastal Waters From Ocean Reef To Dry Tortugas-
Synopsis
An Atlantic ridge of high pressure across North Florida will retreat eastward overnight. A cold front will progress southeastward through the southeastern Gulf of Mexico Sunday. This cold front will pass across the Florida Keys Sunday night. High pressure will build over South Florida Monday through Wednesday. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream current...as of March 19th... 42 nm south of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 8 nm south of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 5 nm south of Sand Key light...off Key West. 4 nm south of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 11 nm south of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 13 nm southeast of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 9 nm southeast of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 9 nm east of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef. Seas inside the reef 2 to 3 feet...subsiding to 1 to 2 feet. Nearshore waters choppy...becoming a light to moderate chop. Isolated showers in the afternoon.

South winds 10 to 15 knots...shifting to west to northwest and increasing to near 15 knots. Seas beyond the reef 3 to 5 feet. Seas inside the reef 1 to 2 feet. Nearshore waters a light to moderate chop. Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Monday
West to northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas beyond the reef 4 to 6 feet. Seas inside the reef 2 to 3 feet. Nearshore waters choppy. Scattered showers.
Monday Night
Northwest winds near 15 knots. Seas beyond the reef 3 to 5 feet. Seas inside the reef around 2 feet. Nearshore waters a moderate chop. Isolated showers in the evening.
