marine weather statement for Labrador issued by Environment Canada at 9:14 a.M. NST Sunday 12 February 2012.

A low pressure system over the Gulf of St Lawrence will track northeastward to lie over the south Labrador Sea by this evening. Gale to storm force southerlies will develop east of the low. Gale force northerlies will develop to the west of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that a Storm Warning is in effect for the south Labrador Sea - southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect for all waters except lake Melville, south Labrador Sea - southeastern half and the east Labrador Sea - southern half.
