An upper level ridge of high pressure will maintain light to moderate southwest flow. A cold front is forecast to move over the region late Monday night...bringing a wind shift to the north on Tuesday. However...easterly winds will return rather quickly by the middle of next week...as an area of low pressure develops over the Central Plains.

* at 231 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm... capable of producing strong winds over 34 knots... .moving southeast at 10 knots.
* This storm will also affect
Miami Beach... Key Biscayne... Virginia Key...
and surrounding coastal areas.
As thunderstorms move over the water... boaters can expect strong gusty winds... high waves... dangerous lightning... and heavy rain. Move to safe Harbor or stay close to shore until the storm passes. If caught on the open water... make sure all safety gear is available and life jackets are being worn by you and your crew.
