Synopsis
Strong high pressure...extending from the mid Atlantic states into the western Atlantic...will persist into early next week. Meanwhile...Hurricane Ida over the northwestern Caribbean...is forecast to move north to northwest toward the north central Gulf of Mexico before making a turn towards the east and eventually southeast across the eastern Gulf while becoming extratropical and dissipating. A cold front is expected to move across the area late Wednesday or Thursday.
