It may only be early October, but a nor'easter lies ahead for the East Coast. Here are the forecast details, including potential for wind, rain and coastal flooding for days.
The Desert Southwest will be under the threat of flash flooding throughout the weekend and into early week as the remnants of both Prescilla and Raymond move north from the Pacific into the Desert Southwest. All of the Four Corners states of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado will be under the threat for heavy rain, flash flooding, and river flooding over the weekend. A corridor from Southwest New Mexico and Southern Arizona up to Southeast Utah and Western Colorado could see 1-3 inches of rainfall with isolated areas receiving up to 5 inches. This will increase the threat of both flooding and mudslides in mountainous terrain through Sunday evening.
