Washington, DC (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Last night when I left work the sunset from Silver Spring, MD was spectacular. Thinking I would miss it during my Metro ride home, I was awestruck by the cloud formation that lingered as I got home. Went on to our building's rooftop in downtown DC and captured this amazing photo of the back edge of the Arctic Cold Front that passed through the Eastern US yesterday, bringing cold air, wind and some snow!

Wow, that is beautiful and kind of frightening at the same time--sort of sci-fi. What a photo!

Thanks guys! I just realized that I could upload pictures here. You would have thought that as a meteorologist I would have known these things. More DC related Weather/Nature pictures to come as my schedule allows!
