Image Description: Driftwood Beach at Jekyll Island is filled with old oak trees. The trees have been dragged into the sea or lay like waiting soldiers where the waves have eroded the sand around their roots. Some oaks still stand on the edge of the beach, watching and waiting. This image was captured at dawn, about 30 minutes after the sun came up. The sky was a clear deep blue with a touch of golden color along the horizon where the sun was waiting to show up. The sun's rays creep over the horizon, spilling over the dunes where the oak trees stand guarding, reaching toward the sea...
