Caption: Beautiful Place and a National Historic Landmark. San Xavier Mission was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. Construction began in 1783 and was completed in 1797. It's the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. As a side note, the bell tower on the right did not collapse, it was never completed.

About mommz

mommz

I have lived in Southern California all my life, and although it does have beautiful areas and wonderful weather, I am a country girl at heart. I love to take road trips - get out to the mountains, desert, anywhere away from the city. I have loved and been fascinated by photography since I was a child, but have yet to take any formal classes. All of you inspire me...I love seeing the world through your eyes. Your photos take me on visual vacations, make me smile, and keep me sane! Many thanks to all of you!!
