Densuş, Romania

Caption: The old Saint Nicholas Orthodox church in Densuș. It is one of the oldest christian churches built in Romania, on top of an older ancient pagan ruin. You can still see the construction blocks brought from a Roman city nearby, like the columns on the northern side, or the 2 lions you can see on the roof, showing very well how the Romanian nation itself was built using the building blocks left over by the Romans. The weather was really hot, but the visit was really worthwhile.
