Not really, at the time of taking that pic around 26 square miles were flooded... now it's around 40-44 square miles flooded!

Terrific image Dave, been hearing some very unpleasant stories about the consequences of the floods on peoples sewage systems......not nice at all. All I can say is thank God for these hills we live on!

Alot of farms are flooded by this and other flood waters in this county, not to mention various properties! Thanks to everyone who rated/ commented & to approvers for AC. What everyone affected needs are the rivers to be dredged properly!

That`s the way to go - but what if you don`t have a boat? Bet a lot of the farms are very isolated by all the flood water that has been around for a while!
Great photojournalism, Dave !

About WurzelDave

I'm a 'wurzel' who lives in South West England (UK) in the county of Somerset (next to Devon), famous for scrumpy cider, Cheddar cheese, The Wurzels (well worth going to see) & birth county of 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.Like the rest of the West Country, Somerset has many areas, places & landscapes worth a visit such as Glastonbury Tor & Abbey ruins, Quantock hills, West Somerset Railway, Cheddar Gorge, & Exmoor, to name but a very few.Favourite holiday destiations are Iceland (see alot of photos) & the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi Sweden (also see photos). Still a lover of the flim camera, my first camera was an Halina 110 camera which you could buy flip flashes for! I have a Canon 3000V SLR film camera, also have some TLR cameras from the 1950's plus Canon powershot A3300, SX150 & SX40 digital cameras which are useful for close up macro shots & also makes film 'last' longer! I also have a variety of film cameras (35mm, stereo, 110, 120 format) dating from 1940 upwards. Photos from these cameras will appear here from time to time
