Burnham Beach

Uploaded by: WurzelDave

Sunday October 14, 2012

Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, United Kingdom

Caption: The main reason for coming here was to use a 110 SLR film camera i had won on ebay (the film has to be sent by post for processing). Anyway the tide was very low, even on full zoom with this camera (336mm) i could barely see the sea (which is to the left of this pic), the water you see (left of the people) is river water!

This camera was made in 1976, so it is 3 years younger than me! I have also never been to the Glastonbury festival (even though it is in the village of Pilton), sadly i do not own a combine harvester! :-)

Wow that's some camera. What year was it made? Beautiful scenery too. I love the Wurzles! always wanted to go to the Glastonbury festival and I've made my own scrumpy! Have you got a combine harvester?

About WurzelDave

WurzelDave

I'm a 'wurzel' who lives in South West England (UK) in the county of Somerset (next to Devon), famous for scrumpy cider, Cheddar cheese, The Wurzels (well worth going to see) & birth county of 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.Like the rest of the West Country, Somerset has many areas, places & landscapes worth a visit such as Glastonbury Tor & Abbey ruins, Quantock hills, West Somerset Railway, Cheddar Gorge, & Exmoor, to name but a very few.Favourite holiday destiations are Iceland (see alot of photos) & the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi Sweden (also see photos). Still a lover of the flim camera, my first camera was an Halina 110 camera which you could buy flip flashes for! I have a Canon 3000V SLR film camera, also have some TLR cameras from the 1950's plus Canon powershot A3300, SX150 & SX40 digital cameras which are useful for close up macro shots & also makes film 'last' longer! I also have a variety of film cameras (35mm, stereo, 110, 120 format) dating from 1940 upwards. Photos from these cameras will appear here from time to time
