Jekyll Island, GA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: He is definitely out of place. Hopefully, he will find his way back to the sand dunes on the other side of the bike path. The name is from the their nocturnality and their pale coloration. The scientific name Ocypode is derived from the Greek, fast and foot, in reference to the animal's speed. This one was speeding across the lawn and I didn't think I would get a picture, but he stopped and I guess he thought he was invisible ... oops ... wrong camouflage!
