Caption: I saw this little beauty on Saturday and had to snap it. It is a Amanita muscaria toadstool. I was unable to photgraph it on the Sunday (much to my regret now) and noticed a huge change by the Monday. Notice the changes of the yellow leaf beside it too. Take a look at the changes in my other series: 27, 29 & 30 April.

Great shot. Took me a bit to realize you are in your Autumn season, and we are opposite, just into Spring. Beautiful shot.

* * * NEWSFLASH * * *I DID IT!! I am now the proud owner of a Canon SX40 and am thoroughly enjoying discovering it's features, especially the greater zoom capacity! I grew up in New Plymouth, New Zealand, but have lived the past almost two decades in Palmerston North, where I sign for Deaf students.I am a "just for fun" photographer who enjoys getting out and appreciating nature in all it's different seasons and beauty. I feel God has given me an eye to appreciate His work around us.I really enjoy having a place like Wunderground to share my love of nature shots and to enjoy all of your fantastic shots as well. You can be sure, if I'm going away anywhere, my camera will be in my bag somewhere!
