Hummers are very territorial and this one
is not exception. There is usually another
one across the driveway from the one you
see here. Occasionally one drifts into the
others area and the fun begins. Couldn't get
a shot of them together, but I hope to some

Thanks, Karen, for looking and writing.

I love this series, they are so fun to watch. The birds, the beas, and dragonflies at my house, all fighting ove the same stuff. Thank you so much for sharing them.

The ants try to take the liquid from the hummingbird feeders I have, so I have all kinds of flying fights. Have one hummer that fights with another hummer, over where they sit and on which feeder. They are very fight worthy.

About Doesiedoats

I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
