Caption: It's the female wasp that provides for her future family by locating other insects or spiders, in this case an unfortunate cricket, paralyzing each with a sting, and dragging them to her burrow or mud nest where she will lay one or more eggs on each. The grubs that hatch feed on the helpless critter until pupation. I have seen this scene many a time but this was the first time I had my camera at the ready. No time to go get the macro lens; I had to shoot and crop.
