Ridgefield, WA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This photo was originally titled Long-billed Dowitcher, but renamed thanks to YouKnowWho's kind assistance in properly identifying this bird. According to AllAboutBirds.org, it lives year-round in the vicinity of Ridgefield NWR. The fact that I've never seen one before is a function of behavior and camouflage.

I think you're right, YouKnowWho. Thanks!

That means I have not only been "snipe hunting", but I've captured one.
